The acceleration time from zero to 60 mph with the 6.7-liter turbodiesel is 6.3 seconds.

Interior

The Ford F-250 Super Duty offers more convenience and fancier features as you rise higher in the trim ladder. Front seats have been engineered so they recline to a nearly flat position, allowing you to rest if you need to stop overnight on a long drive. The F-250 has an abundance of cubbies and practical trays with a big center-console bin that's available on models that include bucket seats. The crew cab gives you even more storage with a lockable box located under the rear seat.

Technology

Larger cabs can be equipped with up to two 110-volt power outlets and wireless smartphone connectivity is an available option.

Towing capacity and payload

The new Ford F-250 can tow anywhere from 13,800 pounds to more than 22,000 pounds. When it's equipped with a fifth wheel/gooseneck system with the 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel the maximum towing capacity is 22,900 pounds. Payload capacity in the new F-250 ranges from 3,217 pounds to 4,303 pounds.

Exterior

The Ford F-250 Super Duty has a commanding exterior presence with a forceful double tier-grille in front and plenty of room for cargo in the back. Available on-board scales equipped with a Smart Hitch feature and Programmable Engine Idle Shutdown are now available for the XL and XLT models. New exterior paint colors include Darkened Bonze Metallic and Glacier Gray Metallic Tricoat. You can get a crew cab configuration in any trim level while the XL and XLT base models offer a single-row regular cab. The Lariat trim comes with a standard SuperCab silhouette and that's an available option for the XL and XLT.

Safety Systems

These new Ford trucks give you active safety systems as standard equipment starting with the XLT models. That means you'll get automatic emergency braking, trailer sway control and hill start assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear parking sensors are standard features with the Lariat trim and if you move to the King Ranch level, you'll have adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.
